I am the Plaintiff in this action. I have been seriously affected my entire life by the events that occurred in 1977. There is no question reading my medical records that I did not consent to treatment. Even the Defendant admitted in Examination for Discovery that I did not consent and that they did not follow the Mental Health Act.
Anyone suing the medical profession should know that the Medical Protective Association has countless dollars to delay your litigation for years. Being left with costs against me exceeding $700,000. I can only say that our Court system wants to ensure that anyone who sues the Medical Profession will be punished with excessive costs.

There is no Justice in the Alberta Court system. Justice is for the rich.

Very interesting case. It is always a dicey area when trying to determine the competency of a mental patient. I have to wonder what, if any effect, the fifteen year delay had in the court decision. Had VAH filed on a more timely basis one might be more inclined to believe the case made by the plaintiff.
