<description>Hi Jonette, I don't know if you remember me, I was one of your poorer students (1996). I represent Polis and Fraser.

I can tell you of two developments which are a matter of public record: (1) that Polis and Edwards have appealed the ruling of Justice Strekaf (set to be heard in February, 2010), and (2) that the taxation is proceeding albeit slowly.

I don't have anything to add to your very helpful commentary, except to underline that there really is very little on the role of the custodian. Interestingly, the Law Society Practice Directions as to Custodians (which I can provide you if you like) state that "the responsibility to determine or render accounts with respect to any work done prior to the custodianship rests with the member, and aside from the notification referred to in paragraph (d) above, the custodian should not be involved in determining or rendering such accounts.

Anyways, thank you again for your thorough piece.
